Hayao Miyazaki’s Final Film to Begin Production in October

The legendary director Hayao Miyazaki (best known for Spirited Away) is gearing up for his final film. According to our plug Studio Ghilbi posted a job recruitment notice for animators. The animators would be on 3 year contracts and the contracts would be about $1,800 USD a month.

If you happen to be wondering if there are job openings to non-japanese artist then you should be happy to know that there you can, although you shoukd know how to speak Japanese. Relevant experience isn’t neccesary but there’s a 6 month course you’ll have to take if you’re inexperienced. If you have to travel to the country they’ll cover the cost of travel and social insurance.

This upcoming film will be Miyazaki’s last due to his age (76).
