Summer is almost hear and that means it’s gonna be hot as hell, there’ll be beautiful women in Sundresses as far as the eye can see, I’ll be getting my lazy ass back into shape, and most importantly a new season of anime will be upon us. The summer season usually has plenty of hyped up anime and the occasional sleeper, usually I pick out the anime that I want to see but end up only watching a couple because I genuinely forget to ever start watching them. Nonetheless I’ve taken a look at what’s coming out next season and there’s a good amount that caught my attention and hopefully they catch yours too. All the synopsis are from My anime list

Vatican Kiseki Chousakan

Synopsis: Vatican City—Holy Land of the Catholics. Amidst the land, there is an organization that conducts rigorous investigations on “claims of miracles” from all over the world to ascertain their credibility. The organization is referred to as “Seito no Za” (Assembly of Saints) and the priests that belong there are called miracle investigators. Robert Nicholas, an ancient archive and cryptanalysis expert is partnered and good friends with Hiraga Josef Kou, a genius scientist. Together, the brilliant duo investigates the “miracles” and uncovers the incidents and conspiracies hidden behind them.

This show caught my attention simply because it sounds like it’s going to be Supernatural or mystery anime and that’s right up my alley. The show premiers in July so we’ll have to wait a good while.

The Reflection

SynopsisAfter THE REFLECTION, some of the people in all parts of the world are discovered with super powers. Some become heroes, and others villains. How did the Reflection happen? What was the cause of it? With many unsolved mysteries, the world is lead into turmoil.

I’m generally interested in this show because it seems like some sort of awakening type bullshit has happened with people getting super powers and it sounds like it could be a prequel to My Hero Academia even though it’s most likely not, also I need to watch My Hero Academia.

Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu

Synopsis:  re have the freedom to wear any hairstyle and bring any personal effects they desire. Koudo Ikusei is a paradise-like school, but the truth is that only the most superior of students receive favorable treatment. Ayanokouji Kiyotaka is a student of D-class, which is where the school dumps its “inferior” students in order to ridicule them. For a certain reason, Kiyotaka was careless on his entrance examination, and was put in D-class. After meeting Horikita Suzune and Kushida Kikyou, two other students in his class, Kiyotaka’s situation begins to change.

If this plot sounds familiar to you then it probably is, Assassination Classroom used a similar set up except you don’t get $10 trillion for killing your alien teacher who can move lightning fast….at least not yet

Princess Principle

Synopsis: The stage is set during the 19th century London, in its capital where a wall divides the east and west of the Kingdom of Albion. Five high school girls, who enrolled in the prestigious Queens May Fair School, are involved in spy activities that involve disguise, infiltration, car chase, and more. These girls take advantage of their special abilities and fly around the shadow world.

Honestly I don’t know why this show caught my eye it just seemed interesting

Synposis: This is a story that revolves around certain students and one hobby. Amano Keita is our lonely protagonist who has a passion for gaming and is friends with Uehara Tasuku, who is secretly a fellow gamer and is someone who believes his life is perfect. We also have Karen Tendou, the club president of the video games club and Chiaki Hoshinomori, who constantly bickers with Keita. This is a story filled with a non-stop sequence of comedy scenes and misunderstandings. Our chaotic romantic comedy now begins!

I’m trying to expand my taste in anime so of course I had to!throw a Slice of Life romcom in here. Hopefully it doesn’t leave as much of a sour feeling like The Kawai Complex did.

Katsugeki/Token Ranbu

Synopsis: The year is 1863 as the tumultuous samurai era is coming to an end, Japan is split between the pro-shogunate and anti-shogunate factions. The fate of the world is threatened as an army of historical revisionists are sent from the future to alter the course of history. In order to bring these forces down and protect the real history, two sword warriors, spirits who are swords brought to life by Saniwa (sage), rush to Edo. The polite and thoughtful Horikawa Kunihiro and the short tempered yet skillful Izuminokami Kanesada, who served the same master, confront the invading army along with a lively gang of other warriors including Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Yagen Toushirou, Tombokiri, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga. As the fate of history lies in these hero’s hands, what meets the blade is yet to be uncovered…

Bruh, this show is probably going to be the most lit show for the summer. We’re gonna  be having samurai action in this bitch, I already know this show is going to be action packed and should have a good story. Not to mention the artnlooks good.

Koi to Uso

Synopsis: Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don’t have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can’t seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he’s below average. But within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?

I get the feeling that this show is going to be a sort of Romance comedy Slice of life but I also feel like there’s also going to be a somewhat dark element or twist. From what I’ve seen so far the animation is…uhhhh…strange to say the least. It looks  a weird mix between CGI and 2d, the style works and doesn’t work at the same time.

Synopsis: Hyakkaou Private Academy. An institution for the privileged with a very peculiar curriculum. You see, when you’re the sons and daughters of the wealthiest of the wealthy, it’s not athletic prowess or book smarts that keep you ahead. It’s reading your opponent, the art of the deal. What better way to hone those skills than with a rigorous curriculum of gambling? At Hyakkaou Private Academy, the winners live like kings, and the losers are put through the wringer. But when Yumeko Jabami enrolls, she’s gonna teach these kids what a high roller really looks like!

I honestly don’t know what to think about this show. Part of me is expecting some action and other parts are expecting some ecchi slice of life. Hopefully it’s not the latter

Kakegururi is the latter

You know what I might skip this show.

These aren’t the only anime I’m excited for this season but you know I can’t go listing 20 anime, that’d be just too much. If your excited for any show let me know I might have to check it out.
