The Higher Brothers Put Asia On The Map For Hip Hop

Rap outside of the united states is often overlooked by many. A good majority think it’s shit or think foreign artist are fakes, oldheads think they’re trying to “invade the culture”. Rappers who speak little to no english get even more hate even though they probably have more bars than guys like Lil Pump, Smokepurrp, & XXXTENTACION.

The Higher Brothers are one of the few (group) acts that I’ve liked coming out of Asia, the group often gets compared to Migos and it’s hard to not agree. There’s 4 members with the fat guy coming in on tracks and just killing it like Takeoff, the skinnky guy with the dreads being Quavo essentially. The other two members may as well fuse to be Offset because that’s all that’s left. If you don’t speak Chinese you’ll only understand the few english verses in their songs but that shouldn’t be much of a problem considering all of their songs are fire.

  1. It’s funny. Foreign Hip Hop artist alot of times show more concern for the culture them Americas. That has at least been my experience. I heard Franklin when it dropped. and just finished listen to black cab. These songs definitely have bop but not my cup of tea. The energy is definite contagious and thats what sells it.
