Bears Claim Former 2nd round pick from waivers

Football season is finally back baby! Well not exactly since it’s preseason but either way it means that players will be signed and cut up until teams have their final 53-man rosters. One of the few “big” cuts has just happened after the first week (2nd if you count the HOF game).

The Buccaneers waived kicker Roberto Aguayo after just one full season with the team. Aguayo was one of the less accurate kickers in the leauge last season as he struggled with both field goals and extra points. The Bucs drafted him in tge 2nd round of the 2016 NFL Draft and we can now say that pick was completely stupid.

After being waived from the team the Chicago Bears claimed him off of waivers as extra competition for his former Buccaneers teammate Connor Barth. Last season he beat out Barth for the starting job and if Aguayo wants any chance of making the team he’ll have to beat him out a second time.
