Rumors have been circulating around on the E-Streets that Apple is going to be debuting a few “new” products at am event in March. One of the new products happens to be a 128GB iPhone SE. If you don’t know what the SE is I’m gonna let you know that it’s basically the iPhone 5s with the internals of the iPhone 6. The She’s target is for the people who thought the 6 was just too big. Hopefully the 128GB model has some spec upgrades to go along with all that memory.
Apple is also Rumored to be bringing a red color way to the 7 and 7 plus which is an odd color choice for a phone, a dark blue or dark purple might’ve worked better. Outside of the new colorway the 7 and 7 plus won’t really be getting much. The red color way was originally believed to be for the 7s & 7s plus or the 8 & 8 plus/pro since there appears to be rumors that they’ll skip the S model this year.
The iPad is also another thing that’s going to have some changes to it. It’s believed that it will get a new iPad Pro line up that could sister of a 7.9″, 9.7″, 10.5″ models , & a rather monstrous 12.9″ inch model. All of the models excluding the 10.5″ inch model are expected to ship next month the one exclusion is expected to ship in May. With these bigger sizes I would hope that the iPads would get their own custom OS and not a blown up version of IOS.
Apple’s annual conference WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is finally moving back to San Jose, California. The event had a stint in San Francisco for some years but it’s doing what the Rams did and it’s going home. The event runs from June 5th through the 9th.
Registration starts March 27th so if you’re planning on attending the dates coming up. This move puts the event closer to the Apple Headquarters in Cupertino.
It seems as though Verizon is really getting tired of these other carriers stealing their customers. To try and get more customers Verizon has brought back their unlimited data plan that’s been unavailable for about 6 years. The new plan isn’t insanely high but if you get a single line it will run you $80/ per month.
If you get 4 lines then you’ll be paying $45/per line every month. This turn around could signify that unlimited data is making a much welcome come back and hopefully AT&T follows suite. The only problem with this plan is that users might get throttled if they use too much data.
Many people can’t afford a high and end gaming PC because they usually cost anywhere from $1000 to $2000. Unfortunately Acer doesn’t seem all that interested in making a cheap but good gaming PC because their latest PC which was revealed at CES.
The PC is called the predator 21 an f it’ll run you about $9,000 which is a hefty price tag. If you’re wondering what that 9 grand is gonna get you then you’re in the right place. According to the plug the laptop has
- A 21 inch 2560 x 1080 display
- 5 System fans for cooling
- 64 GB of DDR4 2400 RAM
- up to four 512 GB SSD’s
- “Top of the line Intel Processors”
- NVIDIA Geforce graphics
- Eye tracking technology
The predator 21 X launches in February and for those lucky few who can afford it there’s a hard shell carrying case included just in case you drop it. Meanwhile the rest of us peasants will have to settle for less. But at least we won’t have to carry around a large and most likely heavy laptop.
It’s not too often that my mouth salivates over an all in one PC but it happened today. The HP Envy curved all-in-one that was unveiled at CES has a beautiful 34-inch screen that would be perfect for watching media or doing other tasks on.
The PC has a bit of a weird design due to the fact that the internal hardware is stored in the base, unlike other all-in-one PCs with a hot were stored behind the panel of the screen. Also on the bass are all the ports that you would usually have more PC from the pictures I’ve seen some of those about four USB ports and two HDMI ports. The only downside is the price which is over $1000.

So Apple has finally decided to deal with a little flaw that’s been plauging the battery of 6s for the last year. That’s right apple is offering to replace faulty batteries in the Iphone 6s for free. All you have to do is take it to an Apple store or to an Apple authorized service provider, There is a catch however. Your device has to have been manufactured between September and October of 2015.
Apple will charge you a fee if your phone is damaged (i.e broken screen). Apple also says that you’ll want to back up your data to either Itunes or ICloud and turn off Find My Iphone as well as deleting all of your settings and data. If you unfortunately had to pay to get your battery fixed it’s a good thing that you can get a refund for it.
Apple finally is selling refurbished IPhones on their online store. The Iphone now joins the Mac and Ipad as products that you can buy refurbished from apple. The 6 and 6s are going to be the only ones available.
The 6 and 6s will be getting a slight price drop although you honestly buy one off of some body for cheaper. The 16GB 6s will run you $449.00 and the 16gb and 64GB will cost $529 and $589 each, the higher price is most likely due to the fact that apple gives you a 1 year warranty and that they’re unlocked and included new abatteries and backs.
In my opinion I think that you should get them if you have the money otherwise just try to cop one off of someone else.
With the success of Pokemon Go one could imagine that plenty of companies have plenty of interest in some of Nintendo’s iconic franchises. Apple CEO Tim Cook made a visit to Japan and just so happened to stop by Nintendo and pay a visit to some of their executives. Now this could be easily blown off as him just checking out Super Mario Run, which he did play, but as always it could be Apple tryin to get their hands on some of Nintendo’s IP’s.
Considering the fact that Pokemon Go had as much success as it did I could see Nintendo trying to bring some of its IP’s to mobile, mainly ones like Pokemon, Mario, and Fire Emblem. If this turned out to be true it would be a major boost in the mobile gaming market.
It’s also worth noting that among the executives was Shigeru Miyamoto the creator of Mario. That little fact could suggest that apple may be trying to get more Mario games on IOS, but the reality is most likely that Cook just stopped by to see how the games development is going.

So Apple just dropped the Solo 3’s which look identical to the Solo 2’s. The main difference is on the technical side. The Solo 3’s are marketed to have a whopping 40 hours of battery and they also have a feature called Fast Fuel which allows you to get 3 hours of battery out of 5 minutes worth of charging, which is pretty cool. The headphones also have Apple’s new W1 chip meaning that they’ll easily pair with all your apple devices.
As good as the marketing is for the Solo’s that $299 price tag is going to be a big no no for many people. Even though beats are “Premium Headphones” and have that premium price there’s no way in hell that they can compete with companies like Audio Technica and Sessinheiser as far as sound quality goes. Another thing about Beats is the fact that their bass is a bit overpowering so they’re best for rap or any music that’s bass heavy.
Overall they seem like a pretty good by you’ve got $300+ to blow. The 40 hour battery and fast fuel are pretty convincing reasons but not enough for me to go out and get a pair.
So Apple has unveiled the IPhone 7 and I must say it looks better it looks better than I thought it would. Apple also added 2 new colors ( well more like a new one and brought back another color) those colors are black and jet black, and I must say the Jet Black IPhone 7 looks sexy. However there exists a few major problems, mainly the whole earphones debacle. Personally I like the fact that they’re going wireless, but the price tag of $159 is a bit much.
It seems as though the 7 will be faster but we’ll have to wait until it dropped to see how much faster. Apple has definetly put an emphasis on the camera this year especially On the 7 plus’s dual lense camera.
The 7 is also waterproof which is definitely welcome ( don’t go throwing it a pool). Now back to the camera, apple now has software that allows for a more enhanced zoom which is god for people that like taking pictures. The front facing camera it’s now 7 megapixels meaning that all you selfie lovers can rejoice. Another thing worth noting is that there’s going to be dual speakers for the first time. This yet there is no actual “home button” but rather there is a solid state button which is pressure sensitive rather than an actual button….which is a bit odd.
This years models are said to provide “much better battery life” 2hrs on the 7 (compared to IPhone 6s) and 1hr on the 7 plus (compared to the 6s plus). The screen is also going to be 25% brighter. Something else thats pretty interesting is the fact that you’ll be able to answer calls from third party apps like whatsapp as if they were regular calls. Also the pricing starts at around $650 for the 32GB Iphone 7 and $750 for the 32GB IPhone 7 plus but if you dish out an extra $100 you can cop the 128GB versions of each phone.
Overall the IPhone 7 seems like it’s a go and is worth the buy but you’ll want to have a pair of wireless headphones which you can get for around $30. There’s a few features I didn’t mention like the Quad flash but they weren’t really worth talking about. If you’re interested in pre ordering one pre orders start September 9th and the official release is on September 16th.
